The Yamaha YZF-R15 has been updated with a dual-channel ABS. The fully-faired motorcycle now costs Rs 1.39 lakh ex-showroom Delhi. The Version 3.0’s design language is more in line with the new YZF-R1, and the bike features LED headlamps and tail light. The fully-digital instrument cluster also comes with efficiency readout in addition to the regular trove of information.
The Yamaha YZF-R15 Version 3.0 is powered by a 155cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA). It generates 19.3PS at 10,000rpm and 14.7Nm at 8500rpm. The power is transferred to the rear wheel via a 6-speed gearbox with assist and slipper clutch. While the bike sold in other markets features inverted forks up front, the India-spec model makes do with a telescopic unit. At the rear, the motorcycle employs a monoshock. Brakes include 282mm front and 220mm rear disc with standard dual-channel ABS.
